»  'Silencis' is on at the Raval theatre

The Teatre del Raval is staging an adaptation of Silencis de Maria, a book by Valencia writer Carles Cortés, in a piece which plays with the death of the main character as a means of delving into the relationship between her husband and the suspected murderer.

»  Where is the moon?

Three cats, Fifí, Sinuè and Raspa are observing their neighbours from a terrace when, suddenly, a power cut leaves the city lit solely by the rays of the moon. This is the starting point for Llunàtics, a story which serves to tell children about the adventures that follow the disappearance of the moon at the Teatre del Raval.

Raspa describes the adventures he has with his friends as they look for the moon, with the help of the stars, through games, songs and a lot of fantasy.

»  Famine seen from a supermarket

The Sagrada Família market is turning into an exhibition space for a month, during which it will provide an exposé of famine in the Sahel, through photographs and videos from Niger, Mali, Guinea-Conakry and Mauritania but located, paradoxically, in a modern supermarket.

This "Action against Hunger" initiative aims to raise awareness of the causes behind famine and the daily lives of the millions of people afflicted by it, with special emphasis on child malnutrition.

Supermarket cash tills will turn into cash computers at the end of a visit, when everyone can do their bit to fight against world famine.

» Dates: From 04/03/2010 to 03/04/2010
»  Time to go off to the Ramblas!

Throughout the month of March the Rambla will once again be the centre of cultural commotion it had seen from the end of the 1960s to the mid 1980s.

A large marquee with a capacity for 400 people has been set up on the Rambla de Santa Mònica where audiences can see again some of the big names who have contributed to part of the character and creativity of Barcelona, such as the Poltrona brothers, Oriol Tramvia, Pau Riba, Ángel Pavlosvsky, Jaume Sisa and Pep Bou.
