CATiCAT

An initiative of the Museu de la Música, this database covers the musical instruments which are preserved in the museums and heritage collections of Catalonia.

In this way, the Museum wishes to simplify, for researchers and scholars in general, the access to the documentation on instruments which is usually dispersed throughout our country in collections of heterogeneous nature. The CATiCAT database currently has prepared the documentary files with photographs of over 550 instruments of a total of fourteen centres. This database may be consulted at the Documentation and Research Area.
