The Photography Archive of the Museu Picasso contains images of all the works of art in the collection, images of the permanent collection exhibition rooms and some spaces from the five historical buildings comprising the museum.

• Commercial Use Rights for Museum Images

  Commercial Use Rights for Museum Images (After publication). The Museu Picasso photography archive temporarily cedes images for a single use upon prior payment of the fixed rates. Please see all the conditions on the application form for reproduction of works.

  • Where the features and number of works produced make it necessary to set out specific terms and conditions, the corresponding commercial use contract will be drawn up taking into account author rights.

• Payment

  1. The Museum will send an invoice for the total amount corresponding to the requested images on this form.
  2. Payment must be made in advance via bank transfer made out to the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona – Museu Picasso, to the account number indicated in the invoice.
  3. Once the bank transfer is ordered, a copy of the bank receipt, wtih specification fo the invoice number, must be sent to the Photography Department of the Museu Picasso via one of the following methods:

• Reproduction rights

  All images of Pablo Picasso works are subject to control and payment of author rights rates to the Picasso Estate. As well as the image use rights of the Museu Picasso Barcelona as owner of the works, it is also necessary to honour the rights to the management institution for Picasso works reproduction rights corresponding to each country. In Spain, this is VEGAP. For other countries, please consult the Picasso Administration website.

• Taking pictures inside the Museum rooms

  Photographs and filming are not allowed in the exhibition rooms. Media and other professionals requiring to do so must contact the museum press department in advance via E-mail via telephone number (+34) 93 256 30 26 or fax (+34) 93 256 30 01.
